    Golden Beach was incorporated in 1929 and is one of the oldest municipalities in the County. This town was and still remains, dominated by single family homes. The Town Charter that regulates this neighborhood prohibits high rise apartment developments, which usually flood numerous beach-front communities in Southern Florida and any type of commercial activity is also forbidden.
